I have had my boots for over 5 years now. They have been through some pretty harsh conditions - desert to snow. I wear them most days on the farm except when I'm in the gumboots. I rub in some leather oil every month and this seems to keep the leather nice. I know others have given only 4 stars for the price, but really if you divide the price by the years you have had them, the price is very reasonable for good quality boots. Keep up the good work. I will definitely get another pair if/when these boots break down. Andrew
It took 4 years for these boots to finally give out! The best boots for an auto tech that you can get. Dont waste your money on anything else. Beats meeting and snap on hands down.
These are the best boots ever. I have never had a pair of boots that felt so good on my feet. I work in concrete 8 hours a day. I would usually go thru a pair of boots every year and a half. I have had these boots now for two years and they are still going strong and not showing signs of breaking down. I am sold on Redbacks and will never buy anything else again. They are worth every penny.
I've been a mechanic 11 years. I used to wear work shoes, but about every 9 months to a year I'd wear out the soles and my feet would ache, so I'd replace them. Eventually I switched to boots, and my last pair, which were nice, gave out after about 2 years. I'm on year 3 of these Redbacks, got them from my Matco dealer, and not only are they much lighter than my previous pair of boots, I've yet to have sore feet after a long day, and they don't look like they're gonna give out any time soon. Worth the money, very comfortable. I recommend the upgrade insoles Redback offers, your feet won't shift around in the boot
I am on my 3rd pair and these boots have blown all other major brands out the water! I was first introduced to them by my Matco Tool supplier, and being on hard concrete all day, I couldn’t find anything that made my day better for my aching feet! From my 1st day when I felt the slight bounce in my step from the soles shock absorption to the next day, when I realized that the pain and fatigue was gone! I have plantar fasciitis, and even though I try to switch shoes for the summer heat, I end up back with my Redback’s.
I wanted to like these boots but I feel disappointed. The inner sole is stiff, it doesn't have much give. The upper is also very stiff and not comfortable around the leg. I guess that contributes to these boots being durable, from what people say. But as far as comfort, they fall short in my opinion. Also the slip resistant of these boots isn't as good as other brands I've tried. And the price point is way too high for me to consider buying these boots again.
Bought these boots from a tool guy and couldn’t even wear them for a week. They first of all were so wide I had to lace them together to the point where I couldn’t make them any tighter. And the back of the boot was digging into my heel so bad i had to stuff small towels behind my heels. Big waist of 190$! And I can’t even return them because even though I wore them for 4 days they can’t return them. What a sham
I bought a pair of outbacks a year ago. These boots are very comfortable and are wearing very well. I am on concrete all day and in a garage environment all day. I have broken both my feet and a few toes over the years and these boots are very comfortable. I hope they don't change there cometment to making quality shoe. Cause there are plenty of junk shoes on the market, these are not.
These are by far, the best boots I have owned yet! They are very durable as well as comfortable, I would strongly recommend them to anyone looking for work boots.
These are the best boots I've ever had. I've been an auto technician for 30 years, I get about three years out of them and I just bought my third pair. Definitely will continue to buy these boots as long as I can. Worth every cent.
I generally struggle to get more than about 6 months out of a pair of boots. I've been through every major brand you care to name, and then I bought a pair of these. Being worn 8 hours everyday, for the past 2 years now, they are still going strong with nothing but a bit of boot polish every month or so. Will never buy anything our than Redbacks again.
Was introduced to these by Matco Tool truck. These are the longest lasting boots I have ever owned. I just received my 5th set over the course of 15 years. I use the preservative as soon as they come in. Do 2 full coatings over 3 days, they last incredibly long. Better than any other big name brand boot, and for less money. I have yet to wear out the soles. Truly a product that cares about the quality not quantity.
Every pair of Redbacks I've had over the years lasted a stupidly long time, took every little bit of abuse I threw at them, and they are somehow consistently as comfy as a pair of sneakers. My last pair held out for three years of being caked in mud, clay, and concrete, walking around on hydrochloric acid, and being regularly soaked through from working in heavy rain. Eventually the soles wore a little too thin, but the leather hadn't even started to look tired.
I just had to replace these boots for my son. I bought his first pair when he went to college in 2012. Money well spent!
