I have always worn redback boots, since first getting my first pair 15 years ago. Working as a mechanic boots were always a toss up as to the comfort and quality, but once i found redback boots that is all i wear. Redback Smelter Boots

Very happy with the boots. Concerned the velcro will wear out. Would prefer a zipper, laces or buckles. Bought them because I've worn redbacks for decades and have always thought the smelters looked like bike boots. Recently got a job requiring steel toes and caps so I had an excuse to spend the 350 bucks. If the velcro wears out I'll have them modified by a cobbler.
