I got a chance to wear the Bluetongues on the complex fire Nov. 15 through 18. In my opinion, the boots could not have been put under a better test. My engine was on initial attack on the fire . We started in Corona and finished up in Yorba Linda. I wore your boots for 14 straight hours. I stepped into water 8 " deep and my feet didn't get wet. I was on my feet for most of that time. The footing and grip on these boots is also very good. I wore them in very hot smoldering structures in the overhaul stage and the soles held up very well. No hot foot either.
I think that these boots are a very good choice for a "dual purpose" boot especially in the interface. If the new composites are as effective as these are, then hopefully ,the dept. will start buying these.
I will pass this on to Tim and the safety committee. I also happened to speak to one of our city council persons who is our FD's best supporter and passed along the need for dual purpose boots.
Thanks,
